Whatever your needs we can help, whether you are a home user setting up a computer and finding your way around the programmes, or a business user needing in-depth knowledge of a particular programme. we offer customised training in all the following.

With bespoke training the training is designed specifically around your requirements - you can be sure you only learn what you need to learn rather than following a set syllabus at a particular level in a large group. You tell us what you need to learn or you can be sent a course content sheet where you can choose your level and/or topics. If you aren't sure what you need to learn then we can advise you depending on your existing knowledge and what you need to gain from the training.

Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office is multifaceted and only by knowing how it fits together can you start to use it to its fullest potential. Learn about the Control Panel, the desktop, folders and Window Explorer before looking at the workings of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Outlook Express and Access, either/or depending on your needs.

Excel Spreadsheets

Many people receive Excel spreadsheets with their sales figures and often don't know how it has been put together. Learn what Excel can do - how to present your work in the best way, centre headings, write formulae, create running totals, insert rows and columns, merge cells, use graphics, charts and graphs, use its data processing features. It is a powerful programme that can be used with PowerPoint and/or Word to present your data in a clear and informative fashion.

And don't worry, even if you're not sure how to 'average' figures, calculate 'percentages', and your maths stopped in high school, you will still be able to use Excel perfectly well.

Word

Knowing how to touch type would be of great benefit in using Word although if you intend just to edit an existing piece of work, even two fingers may suffice! We can show you lots of shortcuts for cutting and pasting, adding enhancements, spell checking, changing text style, adding bullets and much more.

In addition learn how to create an index, a template, change margins, change orientation of your page, indent paragraphs, mail merge, use tables and columns, type minutes and invoices easily, set tabulation, insert graphics and Excel spreadsheets, and more.... Access Database

If you need to store names and addresses of your customers or information on your products, you need look no further than Access Database. Learn how to design and create a database and find selected contacts or products using a range of specified query criteria. If you prefer, we can help you design a database to use or troubleshoot an existing one, find information on a particular product or customer, create forms and reports, mail merge or print using only the records of your choice. Learn how Access and Word can be used together to create mailings.

PowerPoint

Anyone involved in sales or in giving presentations of any sort should learn PowerPoint. It is a fun and relatively easy to learn package. Even after one hour you will have created your own presentation with animation, graphics and sound. Go further and learn how to change the background colour, produce a template, create automatic transition, use text tools, insert an Excel spreadsheet, graphs and charts.

You will also learn how to accompany your presentation with your own notes, notes for the audience and how to give a presentation using an OHP or a computer linkup.

Outlook

Outlook is a multifaceted programme predominantly used by people for sending and receiving e-mails. It goes much further than this however and you can see how the different components of Outlook fit together, and how to best use it for your purposes. There is much more to learn about the e-mail component than you probably realise, how it links with Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Journal. You can make appointments, invite people to meetings, organise and mail merge your contacts, sort your tasks, and write yourself electronic post-it notes.

MS Project

Learn how to set up your project, list your tasks and assign resources (people, equipment, materials) to your tasks. Enter costs and track your project as the work is undertaken. Manipulate and display calculated data in various views to analyze the planning and progress in order to successfully make decisions vital to your project. Communicate your progress and provide feedback to those with a stake in the project.

Web Site Design

Learn how to design and upload a web site with the help of Dreamweaver, HTML Kit or Notepad. Learn some essential HTML. Use Cascading Style Sheets, tables and/or frames to create a user-friendly web site. Create a simple multi-page web page with graphics and links in a day, or go further and learn how to make best use of your Style Sheets or to enhance your web site with flash graphics and javascript.

Communication Skills

This may cover presentation or speaking skills. Successful communication in the office means communicating your purpose efficiently and effectively. It may be grammar holding you back, your confidence, or maybe your spoken voice. Maybe when giving presentations you seem unable to get your point across due to verbal aptitude or self confidence.

Whatever the issue, feel free to contact our experienced elocution teacher about your particular weakness and she will recommend an effective strategy.
